Marco Island Condo
I had the privilege to design this stunning kitchen for my clients condo in Marco Island, Florida.
I had never seen the space in person but worked from plans and pictures and it all worked out really well. They had a fabulous contractor on site who gave me all the dimensions and also found them an amazing cabinet builder who was able to provide fantastic product.
The original kitchen was U shaped and had a peninsula with a sink sticking out in the middle of the room, dividing the dining table to the kitchen. It made the space really crowded. I always ask my clients how they work in their kitchen before designing it and I found out that both of them enjoy cooking and often they have visitors from Canada, which means they need space for everyone in this kitchen.
The kitchen is really modern with its high gloss finished slab doors, stainless steel appliances and stainless steel pulls. Both the fridge and the dishwasher are panelled, so it makes the kitchen look much cleaner and larger. There are two pull-out pantries to allow full access to all the food without loosing things in the back.
We added a large panel in the ceiling to finish the space, bring a nice detail, but also to house pot lights for extra lighting since the ceiling didn’t allow for any pot light.
I absolutely love how this island came to life. I have to thank my clients daughter who pushed me to be more creative with the design, she would not settle for less.
