Working together with Thomas Tampold at Yorkville Design Centre we transformed our client’s loft.
We re-designed the kitchen, their upstairs walk-in closet, and their bathroom.

The hardest part was probably the island. We maintained the original stainless steel frame for the island and the original marble countertop. But to remove and install new cabinets we had to move the counter, polish it and put it back. Not an easy job and hard to find any stone company to take liability for this. But in the end it all worked out.

Designing a custom closet is always hard, it’s more intimate than designing a kitchen. We have to know how many pairs of shoes you have, how many long gowns you have and if you fold your swathers or hang them on hangers. All to make sure you have sufficient space for all your clothes since it is custom designed to fit you and your lifestyle.

We had a barn-door theme throughout the renovation. We cladded the walk-in closet in barn wood on the outside wall, built a custom sliding door for the upstairs bathroom and one for the kitchen separating the office from the kitchen / living room area.
